My multiplicity assignment was to take six different photos of myself and use them to tell a cohesive story. So, I reenacted the opening number from the British pop musical SIX, in which the six ex-wives of Henry VIII come together in the form of a pop concert to tell their stories. They open the show with a single word that describes their post-Henry fate, using it as a precursor to discuss the frustrations of being defined by their affiliation with Henry.
I had an extra step to do with editing the costumes onto my body. I used Photoshop to the best of my abilities, but I ended up relying on other programs that I used in the past to get the job done, such as PicsArt. This might be my favorite assignment to date, even though it was a difficult process to edit the costumes and hair onto my body. I thought it looked pretty good in the end, and I am rocking those costumes, if I do say so myself.
My final assignment was to create a stop motion video and remove the background, coloring one of the frames, thus creating an echo effect. I created an illusion of gymnastics and flipping on my sister and edited every fifth frame to make it look like it was blinking black and red. My portfolio for the semester includes a sneak peek, as well as all the assignments I have curated over the course of the class. Hope you like it and here's to a great semester!
